- How do I connect GitHub to Todün?
- Go to GitHub → Settings → Developer settings → Personal access tokens Create a fine-grained personal access token named Toduen and choose an expiry date. Select the resource owner and only the repositories you want to include. Keep Metadata: Read-only; repository write access is not needed. If an organization requires approval, ask its administrator to approve the token before connecting. Copy the token, then open Data Sources → GitHub in Toduen and choose Save and connect. Repository metrics are current totals for the repositories returned by GitHub, not historical daily activity.
- What GitHub metrics can I track?
- Available metrics include stars, forks, open issues, watchers, repositories. Availability depends on the connected account and the provider API.
- What access do I need for GitHub?
- Follow the credential instructions above and limit permissions and account access where the provider supports it. Treat your API credentials as secrets and revoke unused credentials in your provider account.
- Why might GitHub data differ from the provider dashboard?
- Check the account, selected metric, date range, and time zone. Provider reporting delays and API limits can also affect which data is available. Compare the same period in GitHub before troubleshooting the connection.
